Tis the Season to be Stupid

Ok, by now you all know how crazy I am about christmas lights. If you don't, see the tree below. So I was trying to put lights on my banister that is all decked out with fake green tree stuff. I got it all the way to the top and realized that I didn't have a plug. Crap! So I took it all off and was really disappointed. So today I went Visiting Teaching and was admiring Gabi's decorations and told her how jealous I was that she could put lights on her banister. Now remember I live in Utah and ward bounderies are smaller, so all our houses are built by the same builder. And my partner agreed with me. She also wanted lights and had wished that she had the builder put an outlet at the top of her stairs. Gabi looked at both of us as if we were stupid. "I don't have an outlet at the top. I just drap it down to the outlet on the wall beneath the stairs." Oh. Um. Wow. I have one, too. Karen, my partner, and I laughed and I was glad that I wasn't the only clueless one out there! So, now I have lights on my banister. Just not as many as on my tree.
