A Christmas Miracle!

If I had done what I usually do today, I would have had a very different Christmas. Ok, let's see if I can describe this right. I was driving my car, going to pick the girls up from school. I'm at the intersection of Bangerter Hwy and 104th south. I'm facing East, turning left (north) onto Bangerter. As with most intersections in Utah, this one has no left hand turn signal. You have to pull into the intercection when it's green and wait for it to be clear to turn. So, I'm the first car in line to turn left and the light turns green. Normally, I pull out as soon as it turns green, but today, I just sat there. I must have been distracted or something. I just stayed at the line and watched the cars come across the street. All of a sudden, there are cars screeching and horns blaring as some dumb woman runs the red light going south. She's in the farthest right hand lane. And if I had pulled out into the intersection, she would have plowed right into the side of me. Luckily, she didn't hit anyone! She even pulled over to the side of the road as soon as she had made it through the intersection and sat there for a few minutes. It didn't even occur to me until I was almost to the school how this could have played out, if I had driven into the intersection, like I normally do. Wow. I had someone watching over me and my kids today!
