Snow Day

Yesterday the Salt Lake Valley got nailed with snow. We loved it! The kids couldn't wait to get outside. It always seems, though, that the first big snow fall catches you unprepared. We scrambled around for gloves, hats, and boots. Only Hali had everything, having all Regan's hand me downs. We couldn't find both of Porters gloves, and wuss boy got snow on his hands and that was it. He was in the house and done with the snow. That's why there are no pictures of him.

We got extra Christmas money from Scott's dad this year (thanks, Jeff!) and so Scott and I got a little money to spend on anything we want. Pretty cool! Scott used his money to buy a new bike for a ridiculous amount of money for a bike, but he says he got a great deal. Well, what do I know? The thing that I wanted most to buy? A Snow Thrower! I'm the one usually shoveling the driveway and every year I swear that our driveway gets bigger! And we are on a corner lot, so we have a ton of sidewalk, too. So Saturday morning in all the snow, Scott drove to Sears and bought our snow thrower. I did have to remind him that I was the one who was going to use the thing, so he needed to hand it over!
