Day 1/Day 2
Day one was a travel day. The kids did really well on the plane and I didn't have to kill them before the trip even began! We checked into the Port Orleans French Quarter Hotel and got newly renovated rooms. We were the first ones to use the room. The bed's were new and big and so wonderful!! We then walked around the resort to check things out:
Turns out that water comes out of the umbrella. Huh.
We took a boat to Downtown Disney that night. It was really cold and crowded. But it was going to take more than that to put a damper on my night! I was so excited to just be there! My parents came in later that night and we were so excited for our trip to really begin!
The next day we got up and headed to Epcot!
This was, by far, my favorite park. We loved the rides! I think Test Track may be my favorite ride of all. And even Zoey was tall enough to go on! The kids loved Nemo and for some reason Spaceship Earth. Weird ride.
We spent a large portion of the day walking (and walking....and walking...and walking) around the different country pavilions.
Hali loved the France pavilion the most. She wants to go there for her 12 year old trip with her grandparents.
This lady in the Japan pavilion was awesome!! She made animals out of taffy. Amazing!
This little bird had no fear of us. He tried to snatch Porter's toy out of his hand, because he thought it was food.
The kids loved the toys from the Norway pavilion. Zoey put this hat on and pulled her pony tails through the holes.
This may have to be Regan's Halloween costume!
And of course, we had to have dinner at the Biergarten restaurant in the Germany pavilion. The food was fabulous and the entertainment brought back great memories!
Most of our running around was due to the Kim Possible Adventure. You get a cell phone and you help Kim and her friends stop the bad guys from doing something. Our first go was in the German pavilion.
Our second one was in the United Kingdom. We stayed until closing and froze our behinds off watching Illuminations.
Loved Epcot!
Tomorrow....the Magic Kingdom!
