Magic Kingdom

My grandmother worked at the Disneyland hotel from before I was born, up until I was a teenager.  Disneyland was my childhood.  So, because I'm a little partial to Disneyland, the Magic Kingdom fell a little flat for me.  Everything was just not quite as good.

The castle was smaller than I thought it would be.  And you can't walk through it like Sleeping Beauty's castle.

We did have a great Character Breakfast at the Crystal Palace.  The character's were all those from Winnie the Pooh.

Zoey was the best.  Perfect age for the characters.  She especially love Piglet.  Probably because they matched!
The Jungle Cruise was pretty cool.  Different from the one in CA.
We got all the kids on Big Thunder Mountain.  We were so happy the Zoey was tall enough to go on most rides.  Porter and Zoey were pretty nervous and thought the ride was scary, but it didn't stop them from trying other roller coasters.  Yay!
We stopped and watched the show at the castle.  I think the kids were just happy to rest and get something sweet!
Nothing says happy more, than a face covered in chocolate!
The Haunted Mansion looked great from the outside, but the ride wasn't as good as it's CA counterpart.

Pirates of the Caribbean was a total disappointment.  I'm mean, the one in Cali is fabulous so why change it in Florida?!  Both Splash Mountain and Star Tours were closed.  We actually got my dad on It's A Small World. (He hates that ride. But grandparents will pretty much do anything for grandkids!) And again, it was different.  I guess with certain rides you expect them to be identical and they are not.  It was a little strange.

The park was really busy.  I was surprised how crowded it was for January.  Probably the best part of the day, was Mickey's Philharmagic.  It's a 3 D movie.  We loved that show!  But other than that, I'd take Disneyland any day.

Up next:  Hollywood Studios.
