Ok, so this picture was taken before Christmas, but dorky me forgot the camera today. Granted I was in a hurry to get out the door, but I should have remembered the camera. That seems to be pretty much a constant with me. Anyway, today was Hali's first dance competition for this season. Her team has pretty much stayed the same as last year except one girl from last year is no longer on the team and someone else replaced her. The girls have been working really hard, but as of last Saturday we weren't sure that they were ready to perform. Imagine our surprise when our girls became the Grand Champions, over-all high score winners in their division!!!!!! That is the highest award they can get! We screamed and cheered and jumped up and down! We even shed a few tears! Our girls have never scored so high. We were walking on cloud nine.
The trophy they won was bigger than me. Not that hard to do, but for a trophy, that's HUGE. Of course there was lots of posing and picture taking involved. And me with no camera. Dang it. Luckily, several of the other moms (and dad's) had camera's and were nice enough to take a few individual pictures of Hali with the trophy, so I'll post them as soon as I get them.
