The Angle Moroni Statue that tops all LDS temples was placed on the spire today. I totally would have taken my kids to see it, but didn't know it was happening!
I probably wouldn't have been able to go anyway. I was watching the neighbor kids, while the parents went up into the mountains to retrieve their broken down car that was used to haul girls to girls camp. So I had two extra kids and probably wouldn't have attempted to go anyway. Darn.

Oh, man - I should have called you! We just happened to notice that the spire had gone up so we swung by after swimming lessons to check it out. When we got there, they were just lifting Moroni off the ground. I parked the van - (I hadn't realized that I had just stopped in the middle of the street staring at the statue) and we all jumped out to watch them put him up. I remembered that you put the temple construction photos on your blog and I actually thought of calling info to get your number so you could be there too, but then I became obsessed with taking pictures and then he was up and... Now I feel really bad. I posted a few pictures on my blog. We've got a pretty good view from our backyard, too. Sorry I didn't call!
