Cake Decorating 101

OK, so last week with the whole cake disaster (not to mention I botched the icing, too) I didn't post, let alone take, any pictures of attempts at decorating. But this week was totally different. First of all, we only had to bring cupcakes. So when Porter ate 5, (well, more like 2 1/2, the rest was crumbled all over my floor) it wasn't that big of a deal. I had plenty left. And I practiced the right consistency for the icing. You can't just use the canned stuff. So, here are the cupcakes I made for the kids to eat. Pretty cute, huh?
