It's a battle for me every morning to get Regan and Hali up and out of bed. It drives me crazy. So sometimes I joke with Porter about what we can do to them to get them out of bed. We try tickling, knocking them around with a few stuffed animals, and my last resort is usually to threaten them with water dumped over their heads. I've never actually had to do that, but it's come close a couple of times with a cup of water directly overhead, but that makes them jump pretty quick, so I've never actually had to tilt the cup.
So today, Zoey apparently was on the couch in the exact spot that Porter wanted and wouldn't move, so Porter took the cup of water he had and dumped it on her. She wasn't too thrilled about that. So, Zoey is screaming, I get mad and Porter starts to cry. I just love those moments, when you just have to take a deep breath and then deal with the mess.
After a few minutes, Porter walks over to Zoey (without my prompting I must add) and apologized to Zoey for dumping water on her head.
Mom: "Isn't that nice Zoey? Porter said sorry for dumping water over your head."
Zoey : "I'm sorry Porter for the water."
Mom: "No, Zoey. You say Thank You to Porter, because he said sorry."
Zoey: "Thank You, Porter for putting water on my head."
OK, so she didn't quite get that one. I'm going to have to add Zoey's quotes of the week along with Porter's!
