There was NO ONE at Disneyland!
OK, so that's a bit of an exaggeration. Of course, we weren't the only ones there, but the lines were on average 5 minutes. Quite a few of them we walked right onto the rides. We thought that the shows wouldn't be going, but we did get to see Fantasmic, which is such a great show!
Zoey is my shy child. I wasn't sure how she would do with the characters. She knows who Mickey Mouse is and a few other Disney characters, but I wasn't sure how that would translate in real life. She had NO problem. We saw Pluto first and she ran right up to him and gave him a big hug. But she really loved Tinkerbell.
We went through Mickey Mouse's house and met the Big Mouse.
And Hali made the mistake of checking out Mickey's closet. Oops.
A really cool show is the Jedi Training Academy. We had never seen this one before, but Dave and Natalie highly recommended it, so we made time for it. Another good thing about going to Disneyland when it's off season, is the fact that three of our kids got picked to participate. Zoey probably could have been picked too, if she had been a little older. All three got to fight Darth Maul.
Porter was so funny. He had this really serious look on his face the whole time, like he was going to wipe out the entire Dark Force and save the Universe.
One fun thing that we like to do, is take the kids to Goofy's Kitchen for dinner one night. It's a great buffet in the Disneyland Hotel that the characters walk around and talk to the kids at the table. The best of the night was Peter Pan.
He and Porter had this conversation that had us all laughing. Peter Pan spent a really long time at our table just talking to Porter. It got a little creepy after a while.
We had a great time at Disneyland and a great time staying with my Parents. They are always so willing to open their house to us and we loved have Grandma and Grandpa spend time with us at Disneyland. The kids just loved all the attention and love from you! Thanks!
